About the workshop:

This workshop will help you learn to distinguish goals from strategy and the process for creating a truly strategic plan. The capacity to embrace an ever-changing environment and develop strategies for our organizational success suggests that we need to think differently in order to plan differently. Getting to strategic thinking is the first critical step to creating a truly Strategic plan, not just a new iteration of the one that now occupies a space on your bookshelf or hard drive and is brought out occasionally for review and update.

Once we’ve engaged our thinking and developed our plan, we need to ensure the organization is aligned around the strategies. Lots of organizations fail to realize their envisioned future because they failed to realize the misalignment in the system that impeded, or at the very least, created inertia and thwarted their forward movement.

Finally, we must tap into the creative force to implement our strategies and achieve our vision. A forced strategy has much less chance of success than an inspired one. Keeping the creative juices flowing keeps the strategy alive and a mobilizing force for the future.
